The Friends of Center for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization supporting the Center for the Arts at Henrico High School through volunteer and fundraising activities that provides direct benefits to all CFA students and teachers!
The FCFA:
The FCFA:
- Awards $9,000 each year in multiple scholarships to CFA students pursuing continued education in the arts
- Hosts social events for community building among CFA disciplines several times during the school year
- Provides teacher stipends for each discipline area to cover set materials, art supplies, gallery rentals, and other needs not covered by HCPS
- Offers snacks and meals for students after school during showcase weeks
- Purchases necessary equipment not funded by HCPS, including microphones, headsets, footlights, stage lights, cameras, senior stoles, costumes and music
- Assists the CFA in covering costs for guest artists, choreographers, and master-level arts teachers to enhance arts-related experiences
