APPLICATIONS CLOSED: The FCFA offers $9,000 in grants and scholarships to qualified CFA students each year.
Applications are available in January and are due April 11, 2025. 
The Henrico High School Scholarship Committee evaluates applications and winners will be announced at the
​CFA Honors and Awards Ceremony on May 12, 2025.

2025 Award Applications

FCFA Curriculum Area Scholarships: Graduating CFA Level IV students
Two $750 awards for each of the four disciplines for graduating seniors who will continue with an arts-related major or minor in college
Curriculum Area Eligibility & Consideration Criteria
Lee G. Hanchey Honorary Scholarship: Graduating CFA Level IV student with 2+ consecutive years at the CFA
One $1,500 award for one graduating senior in honor of Lee Hanchey, former CFA Director. This award goes to one graduating senior possessing exemplary character, strong leadership and communication skills, and a positive attitude.
Hanchey Eligibility & Consideration Criteria
William Patrick Gorman Grant for Visual Arts: CFA Level II or III Visual Arts student
One $1,000 award to a rising junior or senior Visual Arts student in honor of Patrick Gorman, former student. This award is to pursue an arts-related course and/or fund materials for a community-based project. ​
Gorman Eligibility & Consideration Criteria
Sara Rose Fletcher Award: CFA Level II or III Dance student 
​One $500 award to a rising junior or senior Dance student in memory of  Sara, former student. This award is to  used for a CFA sponsored dance-related educational trip the following school year (e.g., National or Regional Dance Festival, Performing Arts NY trip, etc.).
Fletcher Eligibility & Consideration Criteria

​​Once you have prepared all requirements for consideration per the individual award's criteria,
  1. Find your GPA (and class rank, if you're a Hanchey applicant)
  2. If you're a graduating senior, gather your college / university's full mailing address of its student accounting office. [It might also be called the Bursar, Financial Aid or Financial Services]
  3. Submit all information and criteria via the Common Application​ linked below
